About AJR
AJR is band of brothers from New York City. They get their name from the first letters of their names: Adam, Jack, and Ryan. The brothers started off by uploading cover videos to YouTube and street performing in New York. All of the funds they received from street performing was then used to purchase a sampler, base, and ukuele.
AJR is classified as an Indie Pop band. Some of their major music influencers are Kanye West, The Beach Boys, and Kendrick Lamar. AJR's sound is unique as all of their music is written, recorded, and produced in their living room. Their first album was titled Living Room in honor of this.
They use Spokestep, a concept they created, in all of their songs. The concept is similar to Dubstep, but instead of beats, AJR cuts up vocals for their music. This is one of the stand-out factors for the band. AJR also writes lyrics that everyone can relate to. As of today, they have relaeased three full-length albums on top of EPs and singles.
